We are grateful for the freedoms we are afforded every day. From our work with the Virginia War Memorial, the Paul and Phyllis Galanti Education Center, and former POW Jessica Lynch, we wanted to find a personal and meaningful way to honor veterans this year.
We have selected the Families of the Wounded Fund, an organization established to help United States servicemen and women who have been injured in combat, as the charity for our second annual No Shave November competition.
No Shave November is CRAs annual fundraising event celebrating colder weather and glorious beards. The competition encourages participants to seek donations for growing a beard throughout the month of November. Our goal this year is to collect $6,000 to donate to the Families of the Wounded Fund which will provide enough funding to fully support one family.

As of November 10, we have raised approximately $1,500. We need your help to meet our fundraising goal. If you would like to make a tax-deductible pledge, please e-mail us.

The 2010 football season marks the return of on-campus games for the University of Richmond football team. The spiders will compete at the new $25 million E. Claiborne Robins Stadium. A new stadium logo and an inaugural season logo were created by the CRA team and will be featured throughout the stadium as well as on promotional items and merchandise.
With the spiders winning the National Championship in 2008 and the grand opening of the new stadium, there is a tremendous amount of excitement surrounding the UofR football program. A visual design was needed to capture that excitement and the importance of a new stadium and inaugural season. The logo, created by CRA, incorporates the unique gate design that mimics the gothic architecture that is present on the buildings throughout campus. There wont be any question as to how many spider fans will see the new logo, as all 8,700 seats for every home game have been sold out since June.
In addition to the logos, CRA created the 2010 schedule poster for the football team which featured nine starters in brand new red jerseys, photographed by Casey Templeton Photography.
"The jerseys weren't even 24 hours old and they were being covered in dirt to give the poster the game-day feel," Matt Fidler, CRA creative director, said.
The schedule poster also features the new stadium, which was photographed by Scott Brown Photography the night the stadium's lights were lit for the first time.

CRA is also in the process of designing the schedule posters for the 2010-2011 University of Richmond Mens and Womens basketball teams. Both squads earned trips to postseason tournaments in 2010 and will look to add to their successful campaigns this upcoming season.

I am honored to have been elected to the Advisory Board of Marshalls Lewis College of Business. I have known to colleges dean, Dr. Chong W. Kim, for 25 years and have the upmost respect for him, not only as an elite educator, but as a warm and caring individual as well, said Gollehon. I look forward to joining the other members of the board and helping lift the Lewis College of Business to new heights.
