Norfolk International Airport is the major airport serving southeast Virginia including Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Williamsburg, Newport News and Hampton, as well as Virginias Eastern Shore, northeast North Carolina and the famed Outer Banks. Air service is provided by American, Continental, Delta, Southwest, United Express and US Airways offering access to hundreds of cities worldwide on a daily basis. The airport served over 3.4 million passengers in 2009.
New Air Service! We are pleased to announce that American Airlines will inaugurate new nonstop daily service to New York - John F. Kennedy airport on November 18, 2010. This regional jet service departs Norfolk International Airport at 2:30 P.M. and arrives in New York at 3:50 P.M., well-timed to access Americans international hub at JFK. The return service departs New York at 5:25 P.M. and arrives in Norfolk at 6:55 P.M.
