About the 'Academy of Academic Excellence' (AAE)
The ACADEMY OF ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE believes that every child is gifted and talented. Its school culture is one that encourages curiosity, supports thinking outside the box, promotes creativity in art and writing, exposes children to new and different ideas, offers rewards for good citizenship, teaches leadership and problem-solving skills, and develops an insatiable love of learning.
Established in 1996, the primary aim of the school is to establish a unique pre-kindergarten through fifth grade International School of Study to meet the needs of the community by providing a challenging atmosphere that inspires advanced learners. AAE honors excellence in all aspects of the curriculum, teaching staff, students and standards of learning while maintaining a teacher-student ratio of 1:8.
At AAE, student dissertations are a weekly event. Through self-directed learning, students show off their talents and interests. These presentations help develop initiative, research, and public speaking skills. Following their dissertation, the student becomes the professor, answering questions from their peers.
