The Benefits of Chair Massage
Office chair massage has become very popular for its portability and its capacity to offer therapeutic massage to a large number of people in a short period of time. Clients remain clothed keeping turn-around times short and helping to create a comfortable environment. Receiving just five or ten minutes of chair massage has been found to be effective for relief of aches and pains and reduction of stress.
On-Site Office Massage
Chair massage in the office has become commonplace. It's easy, fast and relatively inexpensive when compared with other employee benefits. Our therapists come ready to work when your company needs to relax or deserves a reward whether that's Wednesday morning, Friday evening or over the weekend. There are many scientifically studied benefits of chair massage as well as benefits to your business including:

A Chair Massage is, by far, the most convenient method of massage therapy. This rejuvenating 20 minute back, neck, arms and shoulder massage will leave you feeling invigorated, refreshed and energised. The massage treatment has been designed to reduce the build up of tension in the neck and shoulder regions.
There is no need to disrobe and no oils or creams are used. It's quick, clean and easy. Ideal for the work place.

Deep tissue massage is used to release chronic muscle tension through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles not with the grain. Deep tissue massage helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue. Deep tissue massage usually focuses on more specific areas and may cause some soreness during or right after the massage. However, if the massage is done correctly you should feel better than ever within a day or two.

Swedish massage is now known as "traditional" massage. IN the 1820s a Swedish doctor, Dr. Per Henrik Ling, developed the first modern method of massage through his study OF physiology, gymnastics, and the massage techniques borrowed from China, Egypt, Greece, AND Rome. Swedish massage includes long gliding strokes, kneading, friction, tapping, and shaking motions. It IS effective FOR most ailments, because massaging the skin, the body's largest organ, sets up a chain reaction that produces a positive effect on all layers and systems of the body. It affects the nerves, muscles, glands, and circulation, and promotes health and wellbeing. Rated Medium

In the 1930s, a Danish doctor, Hans Vodder, noticed the connection between swollen and blocked lymph glands and colds, infections and other ailments. Since the lymph system is designed to remove bacteria and toxins from the body, he reasoned that massaging the lymph system would improve the flow of lymph and benefit the patient. Together with his wife, a massage practitioner, they developed a specific technique that massages the lymph nodes and lymph system using light rhythmic strokes. A characteristic of lymph system massage is that the strokes are always with the muscle fiber, rather than cross-fiber, because the lymph system runs in the direction of the muscle fiber. Rated Light

Popularized in the United States by physiotherapist Eunice Inghram in the 1930s, this is an acupressure type technique performed on the hands and feet and is based on the ancient Oriental theory that meridian lines or pathways carry energy throughout the body. Because each zone or part of the body has a corresponding reflex point on the feet, stimulating that reflex point causes stimulation in the natural energy of the related organ. Crystalline-type deposits and/or tenderness indicate a dysfunction, and pressure is applied to clear out congestion and restore normal functioning and health.

The SHANTALA baby and child massage technique is a well-respected ancient massage technique, from which most other infant massage methods have developed. Defined by its simplicity and mesmerizing rhythmic movements it is relaxing, enhances a baby or child's sense of security, their sleep patterns as well as their immune-systems. It also promotes a healthy bonding process, and helps with self-regulation. As a technique that was passed down from mother to daughter for centuries, SHANTALA Massage is something that each parent can do. It is an easy to learn routine that one can perform without any knowledge of the bodys more specific anatomy. The technique is without any manipulation and/or muscle work, just a series of gentle, relaxing, rhythmic strokes.
