His new position is a School Board-appointed position, which would have made Bradshaw an employee of the entity that ultimately decides on the school budget.

Declining enrollment for the past two years hasnt sparked a discussion on closing schools in Isle of Wight County, according to school officials.
This year, the number of students in kindergarten to grade 12 has dropped by eight students from 5,396 to 5,388. The previous year, enrollment fell by 88 students. The decline follows years of increasing student populations.
