World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) Taekwondo was officially established as a sport, on May 28, 1973 at the inauguration meeting held at Kukkiwon with the participation of 35 representative from around the world. WTF is responsible for an estimated 30 million Taekwondo practitioners in approximately 177 countries. The organization has more than 4,000 Korean instructors and coaches outside of Korea helping many local instructors.

The U.S. Taekwondo Center has been bringing Modern Taekwondo to Virginia Beach for over 16 Years. During this time, the center has earned a reputation for its discipline, respect, and for instructing the best techniques in Martial Arts.

At the Taekwondo Center, the Masters emphasize the importance education. Taekwondo and a good education prepares the students for a life of success. Students are taught to give only what they would like to receive and not to give what one would not like to receive.
