Scotsman has announced a voluntary recall affecting many of their Prodigy cuber ice machines manufactured from 2006 through 2009. Scotsman has learned that the harvest assist solenoid valve may fail and result in an electrical arc that can pose a fire hazard. A field retrofit kit has been made available to Scotsman distributors and we are currently sending these kits to those affected machines.
