Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near the Shenandoah Valley, is Briar Patch Bed & Breakfast Inn, a Middleburg, Virginia bed and breakfast, offering charm and hospitality to match its historic location. Briar Patch is a historic farm (circa 1805) on 47 rolling acres with majestic mountain views. Welcome to our website. We hope you enjoy learning about our bed & breakfast as much as we enjoy running it. We have spent several years bringing this property back to its old glory – renovating the main house, cottage, pool, and grounds.
Most recently, we have turned the old tractor shed barn into a magnificent site that we call The Fox Den at Briar Patch for social functions such as weddings, parties, family reunions, fundraisers, and the like, as well as for business and other organization meetings. Future plans call for turning a former chicken coop into another cottage with suites and some fun landscaping projects. Stay tuned for developments!

Enjoy networking with women from all over Northern Virginia, shopping at vendor tables, tasting wine from a local winery, eating an elegant served lunch provided by a local caterer, hearing interesting speakers from all walks of life, and having a chance to win fabulous door prizes.
Our next speaker is Susan McCorkindale , author of Confessions of a Counterfeit Farm Girl and 500 Acres and No Place to Hide. Susan was born and raised in New Jersey. She has held top spots at Family Circle and Popular Science magazines, and today writes advertising copy on a freelance basis from the comfort of her farmhouse in Virginia.
The mother of two sons and wife of one very patient and understanding farmer, Susan spends her free time pulling deer ticks off the dogs, playing the piano, and planning elaborate dinner parties at which the main dish is chicken.
