Ships Hatch began in 1973 with the refinishing and sale of authentic WW II Liberty Ship hatch covers. The hatch covers were transformed into tables, bars, desks, etc. That was many, many years ago. Now Ships Hatch is much different. Though the ownership has not changed, the merchandise has changed dramatically over the years.
Ships Hatch is owned and operated by Mary Beth Cox with a great deal of help from a very competent staff. Located in Arlington, Virginia near The Pentagon, the store is open six days a week. We specialize in retirement and promotion gifts for all branches of the military. The store is conveniently located just steps away from the Crystal City metro stop, close to shopping, hotels and restaurants and within walking distance of The Pentagon. We offer unusual and unique military gifts using various military insignia. Of course we carry nautical decorations, ships clocks, barometers, lamps, lanterns, bookends and a variety of nautical antiques as well.
Ships Hatch custom embroiders U.S. Navy ship ball caps for any ship that ever sailed. Thats quite a statement since weve had about 16,000 ships in our history.
