Research on Montessori Education
The Association Montessori Internationale was founded in 1929 by Dr. Maria Montessori to maintain the integrity of her life’s work. This section features various research studies.
Research and Speakers on Montessori Education
The Association Montessori International of the United States (AMI/USA) brings the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori to the education of children. Current research is highlighted along with key researchers and speakers from outside the Montessori community.
Study of Maria Montessori’s Methods
Dr. Maria Montessori, the first woman physician in Italy, opened a school in January, 1907. Dr. Angeline Lillard, professor of psychology at the University of Virginia, has been studying Montessori methods for more than two decades.
Montessori Articles and Lectures
