We are a full service primary care medical practice in Northern Virginia's Fairfax County. The office was established in 1989 to provide quality small town medical care in this ever growing Washington, DC suburb. And as the years pass, we remain a warm, compassionate staff of professionals who treat you as our extended family.

I am pleased to welcome you to this site. I hope your visit helps you in making one of life's most important decisions, Where are you going to get your healthcare?
As an introduction, allow me to share some of the steps taken before I established Virginia Family Health. I was born in Syracuse, NY and graduated public high school in 1974. I received my Bachelor's degree in Biology, with Honors, from Hartwick College, Oneonta, NY in 1978. My medical school training began at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Long Island. I continued with a residency in Family Medicine at the Malcolm Grow USAF Medical Center in Washington, DC through 1985. Postdoctoral service was given at Seymour-Johnson AFB Hospital where I was Assistant Chief of Staff, Chairman Department of Family Practice, Triage Officer and Chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
I left government service to pursue broader care interests with an emphasis in sports and physical medicine. I established Virginia Family Health in 1989 and resumed public service with volunteering at George Mason University's Athletic Department. Since 1993, I serve as a preferred medical consultant with Fairfax County Departments of Fire, Police, Public Works and Government Service. The City of Alexandria enlisted our professional services for their workers in 2006.
The office remains a small town doctor style while enjoying a professional network with outstanding physicians at one of our nation's top 50 hospitals, INOVA Fairfax Hospital. We are a preferred provider with BC/BS and yet, submit to all insurances on the consumers behalf.
We provide full service primary healthcare with in-office minor surgical care. The staff draws laboratory samples on premise and submits them so you avoid the separate trip to the lab. Our phones are answered by us, directly. We make a point of knowing you by name. I am expert in manual and physical medicine techniques and use them to better diagnose and treat your concerns. Radiology and scanning services are available nearby. We treat all ages.
I am active in a local church and with various mission opportunities. I love music and study both voice and guitar. And, I think humor is a valuable human attribute and I explore it daily. Please join us.
