Saayam Foundation is a non-profit organization that is intending to provide and facilitate services and support in variety of areas including Education, Old Age, Medical and other miscellaneous categories. Initially focusing around the Manthani Village and it's people.

The idea simply is this - Everyone of us have something to offer, that others are in dire need of. What may be a trivial resource for one - could be a life changing need for others. So this is simply an attempt to see if we can provide a Samstha / Forum where "Someone's need" ('The Need') & "Someone's willingness to help" ('The Help') can come together.
Why is this needed?
Before we layout the objectives, let us first respectfully recognize all those individuals (Manthaniites) who have & who are extending their helping hand to the people in need, by spending a significant amount of time, energy and resources. Saayam is an attempt intended for those of us who may not be able to afford the same, but still are interested in doing what we can.
The objectives are three fold: 1. To provide a forum/ Samstha to bridge the gap (both geographic and communication) between "The Need" and "The Help". 2. A hope that this facilitates the participation of most people like us, who may have relatively limited time and resources. But still would like to 'Do what we can' to help. 3. To open a diaologue and cover all areas of SupportIt's a thought, It's a forum, It's a start!
No One owns this. Starting Saayam is nothing extra-ordinary. It would be considered a success only when this effort is able to make a positive difference to atleast a few people around us who are in need. And we can surely get there, simply by pooling our collective ideas and energies. What should we do next?Use the the discussion forum, use the feedback form 1) to voice out ideas 2) bring up/ post if anyone needs help 3) to voice out if anyone can provide help 4) to reach out to us if you like to join hands in this effort

Ofcourse there's this question about 'Genuineness' of the need and so on. It's a very valid one. But there are enough people/ elders who are on the ground -plus- given the fact that our network is so tight, we should be able to addess it with reasonable satisfaction. In addition, there's a process around it. And we'll continue to strengthen it.
The thing is - we got to start some where. Take the first step to 'Do what we can'!
