OCTOBER 2, 2010 - Powhatan, VA - "Powhatan United Methodist Church's annual Day in the Country is our largest community event of the year", says Vicki Abel, co-Chair of the event. Day in the Country offers a variety of vendors, children's activities, homemade foods and live entertainment that families of all ages will enjoy.
Proceeds support programs such as our local Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Powhatan Food Pantry and worldwide programs like Stop Hunger Now.
Powhatan UMC has a wonderfully rich tradition dating from 1789 and a keen desire to meet the current needs of our community.
We are an active community of faith with many opportunities for adults and children to be nurtured and participate in our ministries here and around the world. Powhatan United Methodist Church is located off Route 13 just outside the Village of Powhatan at 2253 Rosson Road. Online at www.powhatanumc.us.
