My style is what I call a reinforcement style. I examine the student's study materials to learn what is being taught at that time in class and I find out how much the student understands. Next, I answer any questions, assuring the student to let me know if he/she does not understand anything I explain. I usually have the student solve some practice problems to ascertain if he/she actually comprehends what's going on. Once the student shows he/she understands the concept, I encourage the student to practice until the lesson learned is almost second nature. During the whole process, I encourage the student that he/she can learn the lesson.
