Cresthill Kennels is pleased to announce the expansion of our boarding kennels. We will break ground Fall 2010 and have a brand new wing opened for boarding Spring of 2011. Because of the time that will be required of us during the construction period we have decided to have only a limited number of puppies this fall. We have also decided to restructure our breeding program. We are looking to place and sell several of our dogs and puppies as soon as appropriate homes can be found for them. Cresthill Kennels is a small, family owned and operated all breed boarding kennel and Labrador Retriever breeding facility. The kennel is ideally situated on 46 rolling country acres in beautiful Caroline County VA. We are conveniently located 20 minutes south of Fredericksburg, VA and 45 minutes north of Richmond just off of I-95
Our new state of the art facility is now open. We are accepting boarding reservations. The boarding facility has all of the modern features that a premier kennel should have. Climate control with radiant heat floors and central air-conditioning, 3 - 4 supervised exercise/play sessions per day, skylights for natural lighting, professional quality food and round the clock care are just a few of the amenities that you can expect at our facility. Your pet may like us so much that they may never want to go home.
Our Labrador Retriever breeding program was founded in 1998 with the purchase of our first purebred Labrador Retriever, Windemere's River Song SH. All of our breeding dogs are proven performers. They are hunted and/or campaigned in AKC, UKC and NAHRA hunt tests. They must also pass rigorous health screenings before they are accepted into our breeding program. All of our breeding stock have OFA Good or Excellent Hips, OFA Normal Elbows and CERF certified annually. Cresthill is one of the very few breeding kennels in the country that submits their breeding dogs to DNA testing for PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy), RD/OSD (Retinal Dysplasia/OculoSketetal Dysplasia), CNM (Labrador Centronuclear Myopathy) and EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse) We unconditionally guarantee that our puppies will not be AFFECTED by PRA, RD/OSD, CNM or EIC. Our goal is to produce healthy, genetically sound puppies while still preserving the breed's natural hunting abilities, instincts, trainability and temperament. We are proud to offer the best written guarantee in the country.
