About Sam & Joanie Saunders

Sam Saunders is the owner and manager of Saunders Landscapes. He grew up in the nursery business. Sam has both experiences in the wholesale trade as an annual and perennial grower, as well as the landscape trade as a designer. He has professionally worked in the nursery industry since his graduation from Virginia Tech in horticulture in 1991. Other nurseries that he has worked for include Lancaster Farms, Inc. (Virginia), Iseli Nursery Co. (Oregon) and Monrovia Nursery Co. (California). As you get to know him, you will find that he is genuinely interested in helping you to install an affordable design without compromising quality or creativity.

Joanie is the Sales/Office Manager and is also a part owner in the business. She grew up on a farm in Roseland, VA and has been in agriculture her entire life. Joanie graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in English. Her meticulous attention to detail has yielded Saunders Landscapes some of the highest quality annuals and perennials in the marketplace.
