Fire Destroys Blackwater Bike Shop... But We'll Be Back Open Soon!
I'm sure many of you have already heard but a fire broke out behind the bike shop on Saturday June 20, 2009 around 5:30pm and quickly consumed the entire building. Thankfully, everyone made it out safely and no one was hurt. Iris the shop dog was with my wife and not in any danger. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
We are devasted by this loss and I feel that I have lost a major part of my life and the community. We are trying to figure a plan of action currently. We WILL be reopening. We will likely open soon to perform bike repairs and have a limited inventory. The insurance settlement and all the red tape involved will delay us from getting back to full capacity but we will do so as soon as we can. The building is a total loss so we are looking at other options and hope to stay in the general area.
We hope that you keep us in your prayers and we thank you for your support.
