The excellence of the Montessori education is well known throughout the world. It is based on a non-sectarian, non-traditional and comprehensive approach to education. The directors and teachers of the Montessori School of Herndon have worked together to establish an excellent curriculum. Our program is carefully planned and balanced to help every child acquire strong academic skills, and to develop into a self-motivated, confident and contributing member of society. We remain focused on rigorous academics without overlooking social development!

Children from 2 years of age through 6th grade can attend the Montessori School of Herndon. Our competent faculty works very closely with students to challenge their minds, exchange ideas, and develop their logical and ethical personalities in a loving, caring, and personalized environment. Our teachers play a very active role in students’ daily lives in our school setting, and they are excellent role models with an impeccable reputation. Our teachers provide stability and predictability in the child’s life as they have been with our school for over twenty years.

Since its establishment in 1984, the Montessori School of Herndon has grown into what many regard as the premier learning environment in Northern Virginia. We have had the pleasure and privilege of nurturing thousands of very intelligent, talented, energetic and diverse boys and girls that are or will become leaders in their professional environments and social communities. Montessori education helps the children get into a continuous upward spiral of learning and a cycle of success. Our students continue seeking knowledge, exploring, sharing and contributing to the community throughout their lives.
