'I am well and war is Hell:' Richmond during the World Wars A new exhibition opening on Veterans Day that explores life in Richmond during both World Wars and how residents sacrificed and supported the men and women that served overseas. Be the first to view the exhibition at an Opening Reception on Thursday, November 11th, 6-8pm. Free and open to the public.

Richmond's Hollywood Cemetery A new book by Richmond resident John Peters, published by the History Center. This hardbound collection of historical and contemporary photographs and narrative about one of the country's most famous cemeteries is available in the History Center Gift Shop.
The author will sign books at Shoppers Fair, November 5th & 6th at the Virginia Historical Society, Book People on November 9th, St. James Bazaar on November 11th-12th, and will deliver the Banner lectures on December 9th.
