The temperment of my poodles is very sweet and on the softer side. I do not tend to like the more aggressive temperments as Iknow that everyone has a child in or around their homeat some point in time and I feel that a family friendly dog is more desirable.
Standard poodles are known for their extreme intelligence andgreat adaptability to different situations. This makes them highly trainable and useful as service dogs. They also are wonderful prospects forobedience and agility. They are athletic, eager to please, and natural showoffs. They are doctor recommended for those who want a dog but have allergies as they are a nonshedding breed. When I was diagnosed with allergies to dogs as a child, my parents were told to get a poodle for me and I have had them ever since.
