Carter L Burkey Sr. is a native Chester man that graduated from Thomas Dale High School in 1976. He continued to further his education at Virgina Polytech Institute (VPI) in 1980 with his Bachelor of Science. He then received a Masters in Microbiology and Immunology from the MCV/ VCU receiving his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from VPI IN 1988.
