The Grey Swan Inn Bed and Breakfast is located in Nottoway County just 50 miles southwest of Richmond in Blackstone, Va. Located on Highway 460, the route of Lee’s Retreat civil war trail, the Inn is conveniently located near a number of local interests such as Fort Pickett, Lake Rawlings for scuba diving enthusiasts, several local antique and furniture dealers and Farmville (home of Longwood University , Hampden- Sydney College ) and the location of the famous furniture warehouse, Green Front Furniture , just a 45 minute drive west.
Directions from Richmond - follow 360 West. Turn left onto Highway 153 (Old Military Road). Turn right on 460 West. Take the first Blackstone exit (business 460). This becomes Main Street. Follow this street south through the commercial downtown area. After going through intersection of South Main Street and Church Street, we are located 1 1/2 blocks on your left. Look for a large magnolia tree, white picket fence, and our sign.
Directions from Lynchburg, VA - follow 460 East. Take the first Blackstone exit just past Crewe (business 460). When you enter Blackstone, approximately 8 miles, this road becomes Church Street. Church Street ends on Main Street. Turn right onto South Main Street. We are located 1 1/2 blocks on your left.
Directions from Durham, NC - follow I85 North. Take Lawrenceville/Blackstone exit (Exit 27). Turn left onto State Route 46. Travel approximately 25 miles to Blackstone. Turn right onto South Main Street. Look for our inn just past 4th Street on your right. Turn into parking lot between picket fences.
