Beautifully restored in 2004 by a $1.8 million renovation and installation of state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, the 500-seat theater is a presenting organization and a programming facility. The Lincoln Theatre features performing arts events year-round and is available to touring companies, groups, and individual artists.
The Lincoln Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization committed to bringing the performing arts to southwest Virginia. Contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with IRS guidelines.
Support for The Lincoln Theatre is provided by the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts, Marion Town Council, Smyth County Board of Supervisors, the Virginia Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission, area businesses, and individuals.
