Dr. Premala E. Brewster-Wilson

Since 1974 Dr. Premala E. Brewster-Wilson's clinical nutrition expertise has benefited patients nationwide, especially in the Washington suburbs of Maryland and Virginia. She has presented numerous seminars to overflow audiences and has been featured several times on radio and television. From 1998-2005 She was Professor of Medicine teaching Classical Homeopathy at the Capitol University for Integrated Medicine(CUIM) in Washington, D.C.
A native of India, Dr. Premala E. Brewster-Wilson came to the United States as a Fulbright Scholar and recipient of the PEO International Peace Scholarships; A.H.E.A. International Fellowship for Academic Excellence. Her mother, Dr. Doris M. Edwards, practiced homeopathic medicine in India for thirty years, and her father, Dr. Seth J. Edwards, had a Ph.D. in health and physical education from New York University.
This background was fortified with university studies in biology, bio-chemistry, and nutrition. She received her Ph.D. from Cornell University in the areas of nutrition and home economics with post doctoral studies completing board certification in classical homeopathy.
Dr. Brewster-Wilson spent six years as a professor at the University of Maryland, where she gained national recognition for her research in nutritional education for pre-school children. She has had several publications, state grants (Maryland State Department for Vocational Education) and research positions:
She was clinical Ecologist at I.P.M. clinic for five years and thereafter the founder and director of I.P.M.N. clinic in Maryland, since 1984. She teaches seminars in homeopathy to laypersons and medical professionals.
Research home economist in nutrition with the Monsanto Company
Consultant for projects with the Food and Nutrition Services Division of the U.S. Department of Agriculture
Consultant for Systems Training and Research.
In addition, she has presented research papers to the Society for Nutrition Education and Association of Childhood Education. She has held memberships in Omicron Nu, and Pi Lambda Theta honor societies, the American Home Economics Association, the International Federation of Home Economics, American Home Economics International Fellowship, the American College of Nutritionists, the National Center for Homeopathy, and the International Federation of Homeopathy. She has been named in International Biographies (1980) and has presented nutritional training programs to members of the medical profession.
