Welcome to Antiques, Etc. at the Boars Head Inn. Were located in Charlottesville, Virginia, the home of two of the most enduring figures of design and decoration: Thomas Jefferson and Nancy Lancaster. Though they lived centuries apart, each epitomized the gentle country lifestyle that embraces an appreciation of the natural world as well as art, literature, and classical style. Both were influenced by the English traditions brought to Virginia by the first European settlers, and their tastes are still reflected here today. Thomas Jefferson left an indelible mark with his homage to Georgian design, Monticello. Nancy Lancaster gave a name to the style born from his creation, now known as the English country house style. Its the style of my childhood, reinterpreted to suit contemporary households.
