Let's face it, life isn't always easy. You face heartaches and tough struggles. Sometimes you feel so overwhelmed you don't know where to turn. In times of crisis, you want someone you can trust. This is when the Virginia Center for Family Relations Professional counselors can offer real help.
What Makes VCFR Different?
In addition to having excellent training, extensive experience, dedicated men and women, our practice is “faith friendly”. This combination places VCFR in a unique position in the field of behavioral health. When it comes to the issues of faith, we see clients from all walks of life. Our objective as skilled professionals, is to empathically meet each client where he/she is and effectively address the presenting problem and underlying psychological issues. We want to see people that are depressed regain their zest for life. We want to see marriages in distress become a place of friendship and nurturing. We want to see folks struggling with anxiety or panic attacks find effective ways to reduce their anxiety. If faith is an important component in the patient’s life, we are open to discuss it. We are not here to push our faith on anyone. This is where, as trained and seasoned counselors, we are sensitive to each client’s beliefs; valuing and respecting his or her expectations for the counseling process.
We provide pre-marital, marital counseling, as well as, individual, couples, family, child and adolescent counseling and psychotherapy.
Virginia Center for Family Relations was established in 1986 with the purpose of providing quality counseling from a Christian perspective. Although our counselors approach counseling from a faith based orientation, we work with folks from all walks of life. Our staff is very sensitive to the expectations of each person and custom tailors the counseling approach to address those particular needs.
Our counseling approach is unique in that we include the whole person - the physical, the spiritual and the psychological.
