Being a Class A builder, I have seen the many different types of construction practices and have built homes using various techniques. One common thread in all of these is the waste associated with them. Utilizing some simple practices, the waste from a job site can be cut back to minimal amounts. Some figures put the construction waste from a 2,000 square-foot house to be around 12 tons. That is 12 tons that goes into our landfills. Whats worse, you paid for that wasted material. Green isnt for tree huggers, it is for thrifty, intelligent people who see the big picture.

What is "Green"?
Green is utilizing our energy better. Green is using environmentally-friendly building practices. Green is being a better steward of our natural resources.
It is these principles and practices that make up the label green building. As you look through this site and its links, I am sure that some of the mystery, concerns, or misconceptions you may have, will have some light shed on them.
