Busy schedules sometimes prevent owners from being able to provide the amount of exercise and play their dog needs to maintain good physical and mental health.
At the Day Camp they can, under close supervision - with their doggie friends in the playroom complete with plenty of toys and room to exercise receive this socialization, attention and exercise.
Rocking Horse Doggie Day Camp & Boarding is a 900 sq. ft indoor cage-free Day Camp for dogs. Outside, there is a total of 840 feet of chain link fencing divided into two separate walk/exercise areas.
You can bring your dog(s) to the day camp in the morning, on your way to work, to doctor appointments, out for a day of shopping, while taking in some local sites or events, or you want them to have a day to socialize, exercise and fit in a nail trimming, bath or grooming.
Each dog will have their own crate designated to them and a drawer or locker for their leashes, treats, food, and medicine. A refrigerator is also available for medications that require refrigeration. The dog will be able to be fed in the crate and will spend approximately 1 hour in the crate in order to properly allow the food to digest. The crate designated for your dog will also allow them to rest undisturbed.
The Day Camp is limited to 10 dogs per day in order that the staff may give each dog adequate attention and care so reservations are required.
It is very important to socialize your dog because they are pack animals and enjoy the company of other dogs. Dogs can become agitated when protecting their owners or their territory. At Rocking Horse Doggie Day Camp, there are no territorial conflicts because the facility is neutral ground for all campers. Owners are not allowed in the play area.. This prevents dogs from becoming aggressive and allows them to socialize with similar size and breed dogs. Qualified staff members give the dogs a chance to warm up to their surroundings and carefully introduce them into segregated play groups. Even dogs with dominance issues have quickly learned to tap into their basic instincts and have bonded with other campers. After a few days with us, you will notice an improvement in your dogs behavior and comportment. This gives you a wonderful opportunity to improve the relationship with your dog for a longer, happier life together.
There will be times for playing, getting petted, napping, eating and treat time. They will be walked outside by a staff member in a fenced area to relieve themselves when needed.
By the time you arrive to pick your dog up, he or she will be happy, tired and ready to spend some quality evening time with their owner at home relaxing.
